Editorial and Intellectual Property
Qawwam owns or controls the rights in its branding, trademarks, logos, site design, original Qawwam-created material, and the copyright in Qawwam’s selection, arrangement, compilation, and magazine design to the extent provided by law.
Individual contributors may retain copyright in their own articles, artwork, photographs, translations, fiction, interviews, and other contributions.
Permitted Use
Readers may:
- access the public Site;
- read articles and Issues;
- download materials where Qawwam provides a download control;
- save reasonable copies for personal, non-commercial reading;
- share links to public Qawwam pages.
This permission does not transfer ownership.
Restrictions
Without permission or another lawful basis, users may not:
- reproduce or republish an entire Qawwam Issue or article for commercial or public redistribution;
- sell Qawwam PDFs or content;
- remove copyright, attribution, trademark, or rights notices;
- falsely imply affiliation with or endorsement by Qawwam;
- use the Site to violate law or the rights of others;
- interfere with the security or operation of the Site;
- use systematic automated extraction primarily to republish or commercially exploit substantial portions of Qawwam’s content.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including rights available under applicable copyright exceptions.
